The greatest three rounds in boxing history for an undisputed world middleweight title took place in Las Vegas, USA, on April 15, 1985. Marvin HAGLER defended his WBA/WBC/IBF titles against Thomas HEARNS. One of the most intense fights, where both boxers moved around the canvas at a maniacal tempo, rocked each other with heavy blows. In the third round, Hagler's terrific right sent Hearns crashing to the canvas. Hearns bravely rose to his feet before the count of ten in an attempt to keep fighting. But the referee had seen enough and called off the contest, awarding Hagler a third-round TKO.
