Muhammad Ali vs. George Foreman - October 30, 1974

On October 30, 1974, a historic boxing match named Rumble in the Jungle occurred at the Mai 20 Stadium in Kinshasa, Zaire. World heavyweight champion George FOREMAN defended his title against Muhammad ALI. This boxing bout was moved outside the USA because Don King lacked the funding to pay $5 million for both boxers. In this fight, Ali used his speed and covered up to absorb many of Foreman's punches. Finally, in the eighth round, Ali landed a combination that put Foreman down on the floor. It started when he nailed Foreman with a left hook which enabled Ali to hit him with a hard, straight right-hand to the face. It was a knockout, and Muhammad Ali became world heavyweight champion again.
